we used to say "nothing else matters".
because nothing did.
then something so beautiful suddenly lost its meaning way too fast.
why?
because something way better, way more beautiful came along.
for we knew that in between, it's not all beautiful.
so it DID matter. there's no nothing that doesnt matter.
there will always be someone better than each one of us out there.
someone nicer. better looking. more patient. more humble. more generous. more giving.
makes you laugh more. makes you smile more. makes you feel good.
we may or may not come across these people.
so what if we do?
do we put away what we already have? no.
we make do. we accept that they arent ours to begin with.
cause we already have whats ours.
(or what used to be ours)
define 'better' then.
it's probably just something different, but it cant be better. can it?
so if better of the better keeps getting better,
does it ever lead to perfect? no.
so why bother searching for something better?
